Meet Karen Butler
Founder | Tax Accountant
Karen started K&K Tax and Accounting Services in the Lithonia area in 1992. She moved to Atlanta in 1989 to pursue her dream of becoming an accountant after being displaced by the company she had worked for. Prior to starting K & K, her career consisted of working for IRS seasonally, American Tax Service & managing a H&R Block Executive Tax Office. She knew this was the career she wanted to pursue at a very young age and didn’t want to just prepare taxes, but go further to make a one-stop shop for clients when it came to their finances.
She worked under the Liberty Tax Franchise from 1990-2002 working into the late hours, while maintaining K&K Tax and Accounting Services and a full time job to keep her benefit package.
When she left the franchise in 2002, over 175 of the clients followed and are still her clients today. Her clientele now consists of about 970 residents in the DeKalb County ,Rockdale County, Atlanta areas, and all over the United States.

Robbie works as Karen’s federally bonded administrative assist. She helps Karen do what she does best by greeting guests that visit the office, handling all of the scheduling, maintaining filing systems, and preparing communications . Robbie has been working with Karen for over 10 years and can help you understand the processes to get started working with K & K Tax Accounting and Financial Services.
